Embed code

Paste it into any page that accepts HTML: a WordPress Custom HTML block, a Blogger gadget, a forum post with HTML enabled.

<iframe src="https://www.6cheats.com/embed/countdown?layout=banner&amp;theme=dark&amp;lang=en" width="728" height="120" style="border:0;display:block;width:100%;max-width:728px;height:120px" title="GTA 6 countdown" loading="lazy"></iframe>

The line under the frame links to 6cheats. Keep it with the widget: it is what keeps the countdown free.

Add it to OBS

The countdown works as a Browser Source in OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop and any streaming tool that can show a web page. For a stream, start from the transparent lower third.

Questions about the widget

Is the GTA 6 countdown widget free?

Yes. No account, no key, and no limit on how many sites or streams use it. All we ask is that you keep the 6cheats link that comes with the code.

When does the countdown reach zero?

When GTA 6 unlocks in your reader's store region. The PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store release it at midnight in each region's own time zone, so the widget works the moment out from the time zone of the device showing it: midnight Eastern time (New York, Toronto) across the United States and Canada, which is 9 PM on 18 November in Los Angeles, midnight Sydney time across Australia, midnight São Paulo time in Brazil, midnight Mexico City time in Mexico, and local midnight everywhere else, as in London, Paris or Tokyo. The date line on the widget gives that moment in your reader's local time. The stores can still move it before launch; our release time guide tracks it.

What happens after the release?

At zero the widget switches by itself to a GTA 6 is out message with a link to our cheats and guides. A page you forget to update never shows a frozen or negative timer.

Does it slow down my site or track my visitors?

It is one small page with no ads, no cookies and no analytics library, and it only loads when a reader scrolls to it. We count how often it is shown and on which website, and nothing about the people who see it.

Can I change its size?

The banner stretches to the width of its column, down to phone size. The box and the lower third are drawn for a fixed size: keep the width and height from the code, or scale the source in OBS.

What time does it count to on a stream?

OBS runs the countdown on your computer, with its clock and time zone: on your stream it reaches zero when GTA 6 unlocks where you live, and the date line shows your local time. If most of your viewers live in another region, add &tz= and their time zone to the Browser Source URL, for example &tz=America/New_York for the United States or &tz=Europe/London for the UK.
