Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition doesn't just drop extra vehicles into your garage at the start of the game. One of its two exclusive side missions, Wyman's Classic Car Collection, ties four unique restored vehicles to an actual questline you play through as Jason and Lucia explore Leonida. Here's everything Rockstar has confirmed about how it works, who Wyman is, and what you actually get for the extra money.

What the Ultimate Edition actually is

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a $79.99 Standard Edition and a $99.99 Ultimate Edition. There's no boxed collector's edition this time around, only the $399.99 Collector's Box that doesn't include the game itself. Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as amplifying "the deepest and most immersive GTA experience yet with an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story."

That's not a purely cosmetic bundle. Alongside Wyman's questline, Ultimate Edition owners get two vehicle modification shops, Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's, that stay closed to Standard Edition players, plus exclusive apparel, weapon variants and a tattoo collection. Who is Wyman

Wyman is one of GTA 6's supporting characters: an eccentric collector and local fixer who runs Wyman's World Auto Salvage Co., a junkyard-turned-garage somewhere in Leonida. He's the one who hands out the Special Commission that becomes the Classic Car Collection, and the questline is built around his obsession with bringing dead cars back to life rather than just selling or tuning them. Expect him to fill a similar role to GTA Online's Simeon or Hao: a recurring vehicle-focused contact you check in with over the course of the story, rather than a one-off cutscene character.

How the Classic Car Collection works

The commission sends you hunting for abandoned classic cars and work-in-progress project vehicles scattered across the map, rather than handing you finished cars outright. Some show up as complete wrecks you need to track down and haul back to Wyman; others come in as partial builds, meaning you have to find missing parts before he can finish the restoration. Because the mission isn't tied to a story deadline, it plays as a long-term side activity: chip away at it between main missions, or ignore it entirely until after the credits roll and still finish every restoration.

That structure matters for two reasons. First, it gives Ultimate Edition owners an actual reason to explore Leonida instead of just receiving a garage full of bonus cars in the opening hours. Second, it folds the edition's exclusive content into the game's own systems rather than bolting it on separately - the same carjacking, lockpicking and garage mechanics that apply to every other vehicle in GTA 6 apply to the ones Wyman restores for you.

The four exclusive vehicles

Completing Wyman's questline unlocks four vehicles you can't get any other way in GTA 6:

Yes. Rockstar has confirmed the questline exists, who gives it to you, the general structure (find and restore abandoned or partial vehicles) and the four vehicles it rewards. What hasn't been detailed yet is the exact number of parts per car, whether restorations cost in-game money on top of the parts you find, or precisely where Wyman's World Auto Salvage Co. sits on the Leonida map. Treat any claim more specific than what's above as unconfirmed until Rockstar or the strategy guide spells it out closer to launch - this page will be updated once the game is out and the mission can actually be played.

Should you pay for Ultimate Edition just for this?

Whether a restoration questline and four unique cars justify $20 on their own is a personal call, but Wyman's Classic Car Collection isn't the only thing you're paying for. The edition also bundles exclusive weapons, apparel, the two mod shops, and a free month of GTA+ if you pre-order before November 20. Since the upgrade can be bought later at the same price difference, there's no rush to decide before launch - play the Standard Edition first if you're on the fence, and upgrade the moment Wyman's garage starts to look worth the money.
