What Is a Business Battle

A Business Battle is a freemode event tied to the After Hours update and its Nightclub property, later expanded with new variants in the Los Santos Summer Special. Every 15 to 20 minutes, as long as three or more players in the session are out of a mission and free to fight, the game rolls one of ten mission types and marks a location on the map. Everyone in the lobby can chase the same crates, which is the whole point: it is a race and a fight, not a co-op job.

You do not need to be a CEO, MC President or business owner to join. Any player in the session can drive to the marked blip, grab a crate and try to deliver it. Owning a Nightclub simply makes the payout better, since delivered crates convert into warehouse product you can sell later on top of the cash you already banked.

How to Join One

Business Battles announce themselves with an on-screen prompt and a blip on the map. There is no menu to open and no interaction to trigger. Head to the marked location, follow the mission-specific objective, then get your crate back to the drop-off point, usually your Nightclub if you own one, or a neutral location if you do not.

Expect company. Every player in the lobby who wants in will be converging on the same spot, so treat it as a fight from the moment you arrive. Bring a fast car and a weapon you are comfortable using at close range.

Business Battles rotate through ten variants, each with a different objective:

• Car Meet: steal a specific vehicle from a guarded location and drive it to the drop-off
• Assassination: eliminate marked targets to force them to drop the cargo
• Assault: escort or defend a vehicle carrying crates until it reaches safety
• Merryweather Drop: clear armed guards from an area to trigger an airdrop, then grab the crate before anyone else does
• Parking Garage: fight over crates stashed inside a guarded parking structure
• Pick-up: grab a package left at a marked location and outrun anyone chasing you
• Police Station: raid a police station or checkpoint for confiscated goods
• Vehicle Export: steal a targeted car and deliver it intact, since damage lowers the payout
• Factory Raid: fight through a factory or warehouse to secure crates inside
• UFO Battle: track down and secure alien tech, one of the stranger variants tied to GTA Online's UFO sightings

You cannot choose which variant shows up. Learning the objective for each one in advance means you lose no time working out what to do when the prompt appears.

Tips to Win More Business Battles

• Stay ready in freemode. Business Battles only trigger when enough players are free, so avoid parking yourself in a mission lobby if you want a shot at one.
• Bring the right vehicle. A fast, armored car matters more than firepower for variants like Vehicle Export or Pick-up, where outrunning pursuers beats fighting them.
• Own a Nightclub before you grind these. Without one you are only collecting the base cash reward and missing the warehouse product bonus entirely.
• Deliver fast. The $500 speed bonus is small on its own, but it adds up if you are chasing the Gold trophy across dozens of battles.
• Expect a fight on delivery. Other players often wait near drop-off points to intercept crates at the last second, so approach with an exit route in mind.
