On PlayStation, the BMX code is a controller button sequence, not a phone number lookup. During gameplay (not in a menu), press:

A short confirmation message appears on screen and the bike spawns immediately. There is no cooldown, so you can chain it with other cheats right after.

Progress and money earned while cheats are active are not lost, but no new achievement will unlock until you reload a save made before you entered the code. If you are hunting a platinum trophy or full achievement list, save your game first and only cheat on a separate save file.
