• Expect three entry methods: controller button combos, phone-dialed numbers through Jason and Lucia's in-game smartphones, and a PC text console (PC release timing is still unannounced).
• Cheats have always been single-player only. GTA 6 Online will almost certainly block them entirely, same as GTA Online does today.
• Activating a cheat in story mode has historically disabled trophies and achievements for that play session, so expect the same warning at launch.

How GTA 6 cheat codes will probably work

Rockstar has used the same three delivery methods since GTA San Andreas, refining them with each release:

• Controller combinations. A sequence of face buttons, bumpers, and directional inputs entered during gameplay, not in a menu. This is how GTA San Andreas and GTA 5 handled console cheats.
• In-game phone numbers. Since GTA 4, cheats have doubled as phone contacts: open Lucia's or Jason's phone, dial a 1-999 number, and the effect triggers on call. GTA 6's deeper phone-app system (Leonida Journal-style apps, banking, social feeds) makes it likely this method returns, possibly wrapped in its own in-game app rather than a bare dial pad.
• PC console commands. On PC, cheats are typed as keywords into a developer-style text console. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date for GTA 6, so this method is the least certain to arrive at the November 19 launch.

Will GTA 6 cheat codes work in GTA 6 Online?

Almost certainly not. GTA Online has never allowed cheat codes, precisely because they would break the shared economy and progression systems other players rely on. Expect GTA 6's online mode to inherit the same restriction from day one.

Will there be a money cheat in GTA 6?

Unlikely.
