Will GTA 6 Have Cheat Codes? What 25 Years of GTA Tells Us
No GTA 6 cheat codes exist yet — the game isn't out. But GTA's history makes some predictions safe. Here's the honest take.
Let's be straight up front: GTA 6 is not out yet, so there are no GTA 6 cheat codes. Anyone posting a working list today is making it up. But GTA has a 25-year history of cheats, and that history lets us make some grounded predictions.
What GTA cheats have always done
Across GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV and GTA V, single-player cheats have reliably offered things like:
- Full health and armor
- Weapon loadouts
- Spawning vehicles (cars, bikes, helicopters)
- Wanted-level changes (raise or lower the police heat)
- Weather and time-of-day changes
- Movement and physics modifiers (super jump, slow-motion, etc.)
How they're usually entered
Two methods have carried across recent games:
- Button combinations on the controller (the classic d-pad/face-button strings).
- In-game phone codes — GTA V let you dial cheats on Franklin's phone, and that's a strong bet to return.
The catch you should know
In every modern GTA, using cheats disables Achievements/Trophies for that session and you usually can't save while a cheat is active. Cheats are a single-player toy — they do not work in GTA Online, and trying to cheat online gets you banned.
Our promise on cheats
When GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, we'll publish a verified, tested cheat list — and clearly mark anything we haven't confirmed in-game ourselves. Until then, ignore any 'leaked GTA 6 cheat codes.' They're fake.
No fakes. We'll only publish cheats we've actually tested.
