Every GTA 5 Cheat Code That Could Return in GTA 6

GTA 6 has no official cheat list yet, but 25 years of GTA history point to which GTA 5 codes for health, weapons, vehicles and wanted level are most likely to make the jump to Leonida.

Every GTA 5 Cheat Code That Could Return in GTA 6

Every mainline Grand Theft Auto since GTA 3 has shipped with cheat codes, and GTA 5 had one of the deepest lists in series history: phone numbers for health, weapons, vehicles, wanted level and world effects, plus PC keywords and PS3/Xbox 360 button combos. GTA 6 has not launched yet, so no official cheat list exists, but the pattern across 25 years of GTA is consistent enough to make educated guesses about which GTA 5 favorites are likely to make the trip to Leonida.

The essentials:

  • Rockstar has never shipped a mainline GTA without single-player cheats, so GTA 6 having a cheat system at all is close to a certainty.
  • The most-used categories in GTA 5 (health/armor, invincibility, weapons, wanted level, and a handful of signature vehicles) are the safest bets to return in some form.
  • Cheats have always been single-player only and always disable achievements/trophies for the session, and there is no reason to expect Rockstar to change that formula.
  • Nobody has real GTA 6 codes right now. Any list claiming otherwise before launch is guessing or recycling GTA 5 codes.
  • For the confirmed GTA 5 phone numbers these guesses are based on, see our complete GTA 5 story mode cheat list.

Why GTA 5's cheat formula is the best predictor

Rockstar has kept the core cheat system almost untouched since GTA 3: dial a phone number in-game, type a keyword on PC, or hold a button combo on console, and a scripted effect fires immediately. GTA 5 didn't reinvent that system, it refined it, adding the in-game smartphone as a universal entry method across every platform. Because Rockstar has reused this exact framework for over two decades, it is reasonable to expect GTA 6 to use the same phone-based entry method rather than something new. We've already broken down how cheat codes are likely to be entered in GTA 6 based on that pattern.

What's genuinely unconfirmed is the exact wording, the phone numbers, and which specific effects make the cut. Nothing here should be read as a leak or a confirmed code. It's a prediction based on precedent, and Rockstar could easily change the numbers, add new effects tied to GTA 6 mechanics, or drop cheats that no longer fit the game.

Health, armor and invincibility

These are the cheats players reach for first in every GTA game, which makes them the most likely to survive the jump.

GTA 5 cheatPhone numberEffect
Health & Armor1-999-887-853 (TURTLE)Instantly restores full health and armor
Invincibility1-999-724-654-5537 (PAINKILLER)Roughly five minutes of god mode

Full health/armor restoration is arguably the single most reused cheat in GTA history, so expect a GTA 6 equivalent in some form. Temporary invincibility is slightly less certain: GTA 6's more reactive AI and police systems (based on what Rockstar has shown in trailers) could make a timed god-mode cheat feel different to balance, but the concept itself has survived every prior game. For more on this specific pairing, see what to expect from GTA 6's invincibility and health cheats.

Weapons

GTA 5's "give me every weapon" cheat (1-999-8665-87, or TOOLUP on PC) is one of the most iconic in the series. A full-loadout cheat has appeared in every 3D-era and HD-era GTA, so its absence in GTA 6 would be a genuine surprise. The open question is scope: GTA 6 is expected to add a larger, more varied arsenal than GTA 5, so a full-arsenal cheat could take longer to trigger or come with new categories (throwables, melee, non-lethal tools) that didn't exist in 2013. We cover the full GTA 5 arsenal cheat in detail in our weapon cheat codes guide.

Vehicles

Vehicle-spawn cheats are the most numerous category in GTA 5, covering everything from the Buzzard attack helicopter to the PCJ-600 motorcycle and the Comet sports car. These are also the least certain to return unchanged, because GTA 6 has an entirely new vehicle roster built for Leonida rather than San Andreas. Don't expect the Buzzard or the Comet by name. What's more likely is that Rockstar keeps the categories (attack helicopter, fast motorcycle, sports car, off-road bike) and assigns them to whatever new vehicles anchor GTA 6's lineup. The underlying phone-number system, though, should carry over structurally the same way it did from GTA 4 to GTA 5.

Wanted level

Lowering or clearing your wanted level (1-999-5299-3787, LAWYERUP in GTA 5) has been in every GTA since GTA 3, and raising it (1-999-3844-8483, FUGITIVE) has been almost as consistent. Given how central the police and wanted system are to GTA's identity, and how much Rockstar has talked up GTA 6's smarter, more responsive police AI, a wanted-level cheat feels like one of the safer predictions on this list. Whether the effect is instant or gradual (a nod to more realistic police behavior) is the part worth watching once the game is out.

Movement and world effects

Super jump, fast run, fast swim, slow motion, moon gravity and weather control rounded out GTA 5's cheat menu, and most of them exist purely for chaos and content creation rather than gameplay advantage. These "fun" cheats tend to be low-risk for Rockstar to keep, since they don't affect balance and generate clips and screenshots that promote the game for free. Slow motion in particular has become a staple of GTA machinima and montage videos, so it's a strong candidate to return.

What's less likely to carry over

A few things point the other way:

  • Exact phone numbers will change. Even within the 3D era to HD era transition, Rockstar rewrote every code. Assume GTA 6's numbers, if they exist as phone numbers at all, will be new.
  • GTA 5's PS3/Xbox 360 button-combo cheats are a dead format. GTA 6 launches PS5/Xbox Series X|S only, so there's no last-gen version to carry a controller-combo cheat list. (Our PS3/Xbox 360 invincibility combo breakdown covers that now-retired input method for reference.)
  • A money cheat is very unlikely. GTA 5 never had one in story mode, precisely because Rockstar didn't want to undercut GTA Online's economy, and that logic applies even harder to GTA 6. We go deeper on this in why a money cheat probably won't exist in GTA 6.

When will we actually know?

Not before release. Rockstar has never published an official cheat list ahead of launch, and pre-release "leaked" codes have a perfect track record of being wrong or fabricated. The real list typically surfaces within the first day or two after launch, once players and the community start testing inputs in the shipped game. Track our full GTA 6 cheat code list, which we'll update the moment verified codes exist, and our broader breakdown of whether GTA 6 will have cheat codes at all for the reasoning behind these predictions.

The bottom line

Expect the framework, not the file. GTA 6 will almost certainly ship with a phone-number cheat system covering health, armor, invincibility, weapons, wanted level and a set of fun movement/world effects, because that formula has survived every GTA game since 2001. What won't survive untouched are the specific numbers, the exact vehicle names, and anything tied to GTA 5's PS3/Xbox 360 legacy hardware. Until November 19, 2026, treat every "leaked" GTA 6 cheat code you see online as fan speculation, not fact.
