Take-Two Earnings on November 9: What to Expect About GTA 6
Take-Two reports its Q2 results on November 9, ten days before GTA 6 launches. The time, the numbers to watch, and what the last call before release can (and cannot) reveal about the game.

Take-Two Interactive reports its second-quarter results on Monday, November 9, 2026, ten days before GTA 6 arrives on November 19. It is the last scheduled earnings call before launch, and the one moment where the publisher's executives have to answer analysts' questions in public. Here is what is actually on the agenda, what the numbers will and will not show, and what you should (and should not) expect to learn about the game.
The essentials
- Date: Monday, November 9, 2026, after the US market close.
- Conference call: 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time according to press reports, the same slot Take-Two has used for years. That is 22:30 in Paris and 21:30 in London.
- Period covered: fiscal Q2 2027, meaning July 1 to September 30, 2026. GTA 6 was not on sale yet, so there are no launch sales in these figures.
- Take-Two's own target for the quarter: $1.62 to $1.67 billion in net bookings.
- Full-year target: $8.0 to $8.2 billion in net bookings, a forecast built on GTA 6 shipping on November 19.
- Where to listen: the live, listen-only webcast on Take-Two's investor relations site (take2games.com/ir).
Why this call matters more than usual
Take-Two holds four of these calls a year, and most of them barely register outside finance circles. This one is different for a simple reason: it lands ten days before the biggest entertainment launch of the year, and it is the last time management speaks to investors before the game is in players' hands.
There is also history. Take-Two's November call has been where GTA news broke before. On November 6, 2025, during the same quarterly ritual, the company moved GTA 6 from May 26, 2026 to November 19, 2026. We covered that move, and the earlier one, in our full history of GTA 6 delays. So it is natural for players to watch this date nervously.
The good news: every update since then has held the line. The first-quarter release on August 7, 2026 confirmed November 19 again, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the date has been repeated at every public opportunity since. Our page on the confirmed November 19 release date tracks each confirmation.
What the numbers will show
Q2 runs from July to September, so the earnings release will mostly describe the business as it stood before GTA 6: GTA Online, GTA 5, NBA 2K, Red Dead Redemption 2 and the mobile catalogue inherited from Zynga.
To give you a baseline, here is what Take-Two reported for the previous quarter (April to June 2026) in its August 7 release:
| Metric | Q1 fiscal 2027 |
|---|---|
| Net bookings | $1.39 billion (down 3% year on year) |
| GAAP net revenue | $1.53 billion |
| GAAP net loss | $34.1 million |
| Share of recurrent consumer spending | 84% of net bookings |
Recurrent consumer spending is the money players keep spending after buying a game: Shark Cards in GTA Online, virtual currency in NBA 2K, in-app purchases on mobile. It is by far Take-Two's biggest revenue line, which is why GTA Online's health still matters so much on these calls.
For Q2, Take-Two guided to $1.62 to $1.67 billion in net bookings. Landing inside that range would be a non-event. Landing above it would suggest that pre-order money and pre-launch spending were stronger than planned. Either way, the headline number will say very little about GTA 6 itself.
A quick note on pre-orders
Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, so some of that activity falls into the quarter. But publishers generally recognize a game's revenue when it ships, not when it is ordered, so do not expect a line in the financial tables that says "GTA 6 pre-orders". If a number comes out, it will come from management's words, not from the accounts.
What to expect about GTA 6
Earnings calls are not marketing events. Rockstar handles the game's announcements; Take-Two's executives talk to shareholders. Based on how previous calls went, here is a realistic picture.
Almost certain: the date gets reaffirmed
With the game ten days away, physical copies already manufactured and launch trailers out, a last-minute delay would be extraordinary. Expect CEO Strauss Zelnick to say once again that GTA 6 is on track for November 19. If you want to plan your night, our guide to the exact unlock time in every timezone explains why the game unlocks at midnight in your store's time zone, not at one single worldwide moment.
Likely: positive words on pre-orders, without hard figures
On the August call, management described an "exceptional start" to pre-orders but gave no number. Take-Two has historically been reluctant to publish pre-order totals, and it may stick to adjectives again. Some outlets have floated the idea that Zelnick could share a figure this time. Treat that as speculation until it happens.
Likely: guidance held, or nudged
The full-year forecast of $8.0 to $8.2 billion already assumes a November 19 launch. Holding it unchanged would be a quiet vote of confidence. Raising it ten days before release would be a strong one. Cutting it is very unlikely without a change to the date, and nothing points to that.
Possible: questions on GTA Online and what comes next
Analysts have asked in recent calls whether GTA 6 will pull players and spending away from GTA Online. We summarized what Take-Two has said on that front in Will GTA Online shut down after GTA 6?. The online side of GTA 6 itself is another topic analysts like to probe, especially its business model.
Unlikely: a PC date
Take-Two has only confirmed GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has a long track record of console-first launches, and executives usually deflect PC questions on these calls. Our page on the GTA 6 PC release date explains what is known and what is not.
Very unlikely: a new trailer during the call
Some sites have wondered whether the call could coincide with a final story trailer. An earnings call is not the venue for that. If Rockstar releases new footage that week, it will come through Rockstar's own channels, and the timing with the call would be a coincidence, not a plan.
How to follow the call
- Go to Take-Two's investor relations site (take2games.com/ir) on November 9.
- The press release usually goes online shortly after the US market closes at 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
- The webcast starts at 4:30 p.m. Eastern (22:30 in France), live and listen-only. A replay normally stays available afterwards.
- If you only care about GTA 6, listen to the opening remarks and the first few analyst questions: that is where the launch is discussed.
We will update our coverage after the call with anything concrete about the launch.
What happens after November 9
Once the call is over, the next official news should come from Rockstar, not from Take-Two's finance team. The first real sales figures for GTA 6 will only appear in the next quarterly report, covering October to December 2026, which Take-Two would normally publish in early February 2027.
Until then, the questions that matter to players are practical ones: whether to buy now or wait, which edition to pick, and how to get ready for launch night. If you have not decided yet, our guide on whether to pre-order GTA 6 now or wait walks through the trade-offs.
