Where to Pre-Order GTA 6 in France: Fnac, Micromania and Amazon Compared
Fnac, Micromania, Amazon.fr and the supermarkets all sell GTA 6 in France. Here is how their bonuses and price guarantees compare, and what to check before you pay.

GTA 6 is out on November 19, 2026, and in France the question is no longer whether you can pre-order but where. The game costs the same on paper almost everywhere, so the real differences are the extras each retailer wraps around it: a loyalty bonus, a price guarantee, a store voucher, or simply a faster delivery. This guide compares the main French options, Fnac, Micromania, Amazon.fr and the supermarket and online chains, and tells you which questions to ask before you pay.
A quick warning first. Retailer offers in France change often, and the tracking sites that list them do not always agree with each other. We therefore state what is stable (the official editions and prices) and flag what is reported and must be checked on the retailer's own page on the day you buy.
The short answer
- Official prices: the Standard edition is 79.99 and the Ultimate edition 99.99. Our pre-order guide tracks the figures Rockstar has confirmed.
- Every pre-order gets the same game bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack, as long as you buy before November 20, 2026.
- Retailers differ on extras, not on the game: loyalty points, gift cards, vouchers and price guarantees are where Fnac, Micromania and Amazon compete.
- Best for most people: a retailer with a written lowest-price guarantee through launch, because the price is the one thing that can still move.
- Avoid: any seller promising the game before November 19, any "Steam key", and any price far below the others.
What is identical wherever you buy
Before comparing shops, it helps to know what no retailer can change. GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, with no PC version announced. There are two editions, Standard and Ultimate, and the difference is in-game content, not a better version of the game. Our editions guide explains who should pay the extra 20.
The boxed version is also the same everywhere: it contains a download code, not a disc, as detailed in our piece on the physical edition with no disc. That matters for your choice. A box is no longer a way to own a physical copy you can resell or lend, so its appeal is mostly convenience, a gift, or a retailer bonus.
Finally, the release date and time are fixed. Everyone, digital or boxed, unlocks together on November 19, 2026, with pre-loading opening a week earlier.
Fnac
Fnac is the retailer most often mentioned for its lowest-price guarantee on GTA 6: if the price falls before launch, you can claim the difference. The pitch also leans on the Fnac+ membership, loyalty points and in-store pickup, which is useful if you want to collect your box on the first possible day rather than wait for a courier.
What is reported, but worth confirming on Fnac's own page:
- A gift card of around 10 for Fnac+ members. Tracking sites disagree on whether this applies to GTA 6, so do not count on it until you see it in your basket.
- Pickup in store from November 12, 2026, which is the date boxed copies are expected to reach shops.
- Standard and Ultimate at the official prices, with no cut.
Choose Fnac if you are already a member, you value an explicit price guarantee, and you want to pick the box up in person.
Micromania
Micromania-Zing is the specialist chain, and it tends to compete with loyalty rather than discounts. Instead of lowering the sticker price, it usually offers bonus loyalty points or a store voucher you can spend on your next purchase. One tracking site reported a 20 store credit during a July 2026 window, which is a good reminder that these offers are time-limited.
The trade-off is simple. A voucher is not money back: it only has value if you will actually buy something else at Micromania, such as a controller, a headset or another game. If you will, it is a real saving. If you will not, a lower sticker price elsewhere is worth more.
Choose Micromania if you already shop there regularly and will use the points or voucher.
Amazon.fr
Amazon.fr is the default for many buyers, and its strengths are logistics: fast delivery for Prime members and a pre-order price guarantee that refunds the difference if the price drops before release. For a launch where you want the box in your hands on day one, that combination is hard to beat.
Two cautions. First, stock for new releases can be rationed, and some reports mention the official listing selling out at times. When that happens, cheaper prices from third-party sellers appear. Only buy from Amazon itself or from a seller with a long, clean history, because a price that looks too good is the classic scam pattern (see our guide on avoiding pre-order scams for what to look for).
Second, check who is selling and shipping. "Sold and shipped by Amazon" is the safe line.
Choose Amazon if you want the strongest delivery promise and a written price guarantee.
Supermarkets and online chains
E.Leclerc, Carrefour, Auchan, Cdiscount and Cultura also list GTA 6. Reports of their prices range from the official 79.99 to noticeably lower figures, and some pair the game with a store voucher. Treat any specific number you read, including ours, as a snapshot: these are exactly the offers that appear and vanish within days.
Two practical rules apply. If a price is well under the official one, confirm that it is for the standard boxed edition on your platform and that it does not require a membership you do not have. And check the retailer's cancellation policy, because a cheap pre-order you cannot cancel is not cheap if the price drops again.
Digital or boxed?
You can also skip retailers entirely and pre-order on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. The digital route has two real advantages. The pre-order comes with a month of GTA+ on top, and you can usually cancel and be refunded until release. The downside is that stores rarely discount new releases, so you are paying the full price with no price guarantee.
A boxed copy only wins if a retailer bonus, a voucher or a lower price makes it cheaper overall. Since it contains a code rather than a disc, there is no physical advantage to offset a worse deal.
The collector's box is not the game
One more thing to avoid mixing up. The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection is a 399.99 collector's box sold through Rockstar's store, and it does not contain the game. Our article on the collector's box lists its 11 items. If you see a "collector's edition" bundling the game at a very different price, check it against Rockstar's own announcements before you pay, as reports on this have conflicted.
How to choose in five steps
- Pick your edition first. Standard unless you specifically want the Ultimate content.
- Decide digital or boxed. Digital for simplicity and a GTA+ month, boxed only if a retailer extra beats it.
- Compare the total value, not the sticker. Add the gift card, voucher or points to the price, and subtract anything you will not use.
- Read the guarantee. Look for a written lowest-price clause that runs until launch, and note how you claim it.
- Check cancellation. Make sure you can cancel without a fee before the release date.
What we would do
For most players in France, the simplest good option is Amazon.fr or Fnac for the boxed copy, chosen for the price guarantee, or the console store for a digital copy with the GTA+ month. Micromania makes sense for regular customers who will spend the voucher. Whatever you pick, buy from a clearly authorized seller and remember that nothing you buy can unlock the game before November 19.
Prices and promotions on this page reflect what retailers and tracking sites reported at the time of writing, and they change. Always confirm the final price, bonus and guarantee on the retailer's page before you pay.
